Did God Just Spare America? Kamala Harris’ Confusing Post-Election Speech

Share:

Perhaps there really is truth to the idea that America is in the God-given season of reprieve.

Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, America has experienced a wave of policy changes, the implementation of conservative structures and systems and not least, a re-dedication to the Lord on a governmental level.

Now that Kamala Harris has spoken out in her first speech since Trump regained office, we all just may be a bit more thankful for how things turned out.

Speaking about a video of elephants at the San Diego Zoo during an earthquake, Harris told the San Francisco crowd, “So that scene has been on my mind. Everybody has been asking what are you thinking about these days. For those who haven’t seen it, here those elephants were, and as soon as they felt the earth shaking beneath their feet, they got in a circle and stood next to each other to protect the most vulnerable…”

While this was clearly meant to be a jab at the president, Harris’ example is a confusing pick overall to make her first public speech about.

“Because we know those who try to incite fear are most effective when they divide and conquer…the lesson is don’t, don’t scatter,” Harris continues.

This unusual speech comes right at the time when Tim Walz says he was picked by Harris because he could “…code talk to white guys.” Walz, you will recall, a few days ago was given a plaque by a Satanists group honoring him, which says “Satan has a special place for you.”

If this is indeed a time of divine reprieve, as it appears to be, it is not for comfort but for consecration—a window of mercy granted that we might rise, repent and rebuild on the foundation of righteousness. We must not take our current administration for granted, but rather see that God is allowing us a window of time to do His kingdom work before His return. When we imagine the leadership we could have had compared to the one that we do, it is only by the mercy of God that things have turned out for our nation’s ultimate good.
