‘Doomsday Mom’ Guilty—Chilling Details That Sealed Her Fate

Share:

‘Doomsday Mom’ Lori Vallow Daybell has officially been found guilty for conspiring to murder her ex-husband.

Vallow Daybell, who notoriously is known for getting caught up in a Mormon-based end times cult that led her and her husband, Chad Daybell, to kill her two children, may now serve a third life sentence following this verdict.

Back in 2019, Vallow Daybell’s deceased husband, Charles Vallow was shot by her brother, Alex Cox. As NPR notes, it is believed that Vallow Daybell saw this as a chance to marry Daybell while cashing in on Vallow’s life insurance.

As Charisma News reported, Vallow Daybell recently said that Jesus had spoken to her, telling her she would be exonerated of her crimes.

“I have seen things in the future that Jesus showed me when I was in heaven,” she said. “And we were not in jail, and we were not in prison, and they were still in the future, from now.”

This tragic case serves as a sobering reminder of how deception, when left unchecked, can lead to devastation. Lori Vallow Daybell’s descent into a delusional belief system—fueled by false prophecies and cult-like manipulation—resulted not only in personal ruin but in the horrific loss of innocent lives. It’s a painful reality that behind the sensational headlines are two children whose lives were brutally cut short and families forever shattered by the choices of those meant to protect them.

The spiritual danger of being swept up into demonic cults like the one Lori and Chad Daybell followed cannot be overstated. The enemy preys on spiritual hunger, twisting truth with just enough biblical language to deceive even those who appear religious. Scripture warns us that “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14), and this case stands as a stark example of what happens when people reject sound doctrine in favor of mysticism and self-appointed revelations.

What may begin as a desire for spiritual insight can become a pathway to destruction when it steps outside the boundaries of biblical truth.

In a world full of spiritual counterfeits, may the church be a voice of clarity and truth, calling people back to the gospel—the only true hope in the face of darkness.
