A former music producer for Sean “Diddy” Combs has come out to tell about his time in the industry, and how God saved him in the midst of darkness.

Rod Long, who now spends his time devoted to ministry, came from a background of the glitz and glamour of the music industry, eventually working as a music producer for Sean “Diddy” Combs. However, Long battled with God’s voice asking him to leave the limelight behind. Now as the world has become fascinated with the cases against Diddy, Long is sharing his story of how God saved him from the depths of despair.

“I get a call, ‘Hey, Diddy loves the record; he wants to use it,'” Long says to Arayomi. “I’m steadily sending more records. Now, Diddy wants to meet me.”

After this initial meeting in New York, Long told Arayomi his next significant meeting with Diddy was in Miami, Florida.

“It was in Miami at a party. I just remember him walking in and asking everybody, ‘Hey want kind of girls do ya’ll want?'” Long states. “This guy could get whatever he wanted. There was already girls there at the party, but I believe these girls came specifically to do whatever we wanted them to do.”

Long says he was constantly battling with hearing the Lord’s voice telling him to get out of these situations.

“I’m dealing with the voice of the Lord every moment telling me to get out of there,” Long says.

Long, who grew up as a pastor’s son, knew that the darkness of this world was not of God.

“I actually feel like I’m going crazy. And I’m trying to share with other people to see if they’re going through the same thing because I know some of the writers and the producers I’m around, they came from church too,” says Long.

“You described moments where you saw people actually doing seances over their music,” Arayomi says.

“We would all be in the studio and it would be almost ritualistic,” Long responds. “We would light candles and as the beats are playing…they would be chanting different things over the music.”

Long says that while he never became apart of Diddy’s inner circle, he is thankful to the Lord for putting a halt on any growth down the path of darkness. It was on his way to a Las Vegas party that Long finally had enough of the darkness. After he got on a plane and went back home to Houston, Long claims he and his family and his now-wife started to receive threats.

“I told the Lord, ‘If you help me out of this one, I’ll obey you. I’ll do whatever you want. And I [prayed] with a sincere heart, and the calls subsided. They stopped,” says Long.

While Long still had a long and dark road ahead, including a brush with death and the demonic, he eventually gave his whole life to Christ proving that no power of hell is greater than the authority and redemption of Christ Jesus.
