According to CBS News, Morris’ appearance is to take place in an Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, with both Morris and Clemishire attending the hearing. While not required to attend, Clemishire, along with family and friends, will be there for the event.
Previously, Morris’ attorney said he would move forward with a not-guilty plea.
Earlier this year, Clemishire testified against the former megachurch pastor at the Texas House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee as she supported “Trey’s Law.” This bill was created to end NDAs that deal with child trafficking and sexual abuse victims in civil settlements. Clemishire says that the abuse she endured at the hands of Morris began when she was only 12-years-old. She also previously noted that, “…it is time for the legal system to hold [Morris] accountable.”
Back in March, Robert Morris turned himself into authorities after being indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child.
