Smith pointed out that what was uncovered very well could mean a “pre-flood structure,” meaning these were built prior to the flood that wiped out humanity in the days of Noah.

“There are substantial things underneath the ground,” Smith says. “You have miles of underground tunneling.”
If this is true, this could have significant implications for biblical prophecy and the end times. In Matthew 24:37, Jesus declares, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”
“If there are structures that go that low, there’s a couple of possibilities,” Smith says. “One is that you originally had something there…and a pyramid was built on top of it. Or, if there’s structures like the Easter Island statues.”
The revelation of ancient, possibly pre-flood civilizations could be a tangible reminder of the corruption and violence that marked the days of Noah—a time when humanity’s rebellion against God reached its peak, triggering divine judgment. If these structures are remnants of that era, they could serve as a sobering sign that we are nearing a similar time of global upheaval and divine reckoning.
