Library Board Issues Shocking Threat to Mother—You Won’t Believe Why
A mother from Alabama was threatened by none other than a public library board member for an unbelievable reason.
As The Daily Wire noted, Rachel Homolak tried to reach out to the public library board member, Vicki Hereford in regards to books she found concerning in the state’s library that were intended for children’s consumption. These books, according to Homolak’s account, were sexually graphic and should not be on display for children. What happened next will shock you.

The Daily Wire noted that Homolak emailed Hereford, with images from the books included, and Hereford told her that she would get the authorities involved if she ever tried to reach out again.
“The disgusting pornographic material that you chose to send to me twice via email – UNSOLICITED – is filth,” Hereford wrote in an email. “Because you choose to send this for whatever reason – shock value, perhaps – you are distributing the very material that you say you fight against. I will not meet with you.”
Hereford then allegedly told Homolak not to contact ever again or else she would report her to the authorities for harassment.
While perhaps the images from the books were unnecessary to email, the wider point is that these books, targeted for children, should not have been made readily accessible for them at the public library.
As believers, we are called to be the salt and light in a dark world, speaking out against the forces that seek to corrupt the next generation. Let this situation be a wake-up call to all of us to be vigilant in our communities, advocating for righteousness in every arena—whether it’s in our schools, libraries or beyond.
