Missiles and Drones Devastate the Land That Jesus Walked
The ministry of Jesus included a significant amount of time in Galilee.
Galilee was a region in northern Israel, and it served as the primary setting for much of Jesus’ public ministry. The events that took place there are cornerstones of the gospel message in the power of the Father who is in Christ, as He is also in the Father.

Here are some of the prominent events that took place in the region of Galilee, just to name a few:
- Calling of the Disciples: In Galilee, Jesus called His first disciples—Peter, Andrew, James and John—who were fishermen by trade. He told them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men,” (Matt. 4:18-22; Mark 1:16-20).
- Sermon on the Mount: One of the most famous teachings of Jesus, the Sermon on the Mount, took place in Galilee. It includes the Beatitudes and teachings on Christian living (Matt. 5-7).
- Miracles: Jesus performed many miracles in Galilee, demonstrating His divine power and compassion, such as healing the sick (Matt. 8:1-4); calming the stormy sea (Matt. 8:23-27); and feeding the 5,000 with five loaves and two fish (Matt. 14:13-21).
Now, this region that saw so much from the King of kings and Lord of lords is in the middle of war between the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Israel.
On Wednesday, Apr. 17, Hezbollah launched an attack against Israel in the region of Galilee using two suicide drones and two anti-tank missiles. Reports indicate that 14 IDF solders were wounded in the attack, and a community center in the Bedouin village of Arab al-Aramshe was damaged.
As reported by The Jerusalem Post, “Reports indicate that four civilians were also wounded in multiple waves of attacks.
“In addition, a vehicle was hit by an anti-tank missile at the scene, and the wounded were brought to the Galilee Medical Center.”
This land that Jesus spent so much time in, is under attack from enemies both physically and spiritually.
The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 10 that his “heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.” Let us join Paul’s words in praying for the nation of Israel, that they may be saved, and for the peace of the Lord to be restored across the nation.
