Quest Megachurch Voluntarily Splits from the Evangelical Covenant Church

Facing possible expulsion from the Evangelical Covenant Church, Eugene Cho-founded Quest Church in Seattle, Washington, has decided to leave of their own accord.

Now helmed by Pastor Gail Song Bantum, she posted on Facebook June 5 a public statement on the departure.

The major cause for this split appears to be the acceptance of the LGBTQ lifestyle that Quest has embraced which runs contrary to the traditional, biblical views held by the ECC.

4 Ways to Identify a Lukewarm Christian, Says John Ramirez

Evangelist John Ramirez is exposing false prophets seeping into the church community today, encouraging people that this is the time to get right with God before the rapture of Jesus’ saints.

“You can’t sell an anointing,” Ramirez said in a recent message. “You can’t sell something that’s not yours.”

Ramirez warned the audience of televangelists and other seemingly spiritual influencers who target Christians seeking to hear from the Lord or expecting Him to answer a specific prayer request. Ramirez shared that while one may genuinely desire something of the Lord, you can’t simply buy what you want from God off of the rack like a new coat or a pair of shoes. Being anointed doesn’t always equal the same kind of influence the world is after, but rather it means relying whole-heartedly upon Christ to reach a God-given destiny.

Fiery Bishop: Churches Should Display Their ‘Jesus Pride’

Bishop Patrick L. Wooden Sr. wants everyone to know that Jesus loves them. He loves everyone, including those in the LGBTQ community that are celebrating “Pride Month” during the entire month of June.

But then, as Bishop Wooden Sr. told Pastor John Amanchukwu in a recent interview for Charisma News, that is what the LGBTQ community is participating in, simply “rebellion.”

“We are seeing people who are trying to make right that what your Bible says is wrong,” says Wooden Sr., the senior pastor at the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh, North Carolina. {eoa}
