Prophetic Warning: Dark Truth Behind the History of Hamas
There’s a dark truth lurking behind the history of Hamas.
Unlocking a prophetic mystery, New York Times best-selling author, Jonathan Cahn, shed light on the deeper spiritual mystery behind Hamas, revealing its biblical significance and connection to an ancient war against God’s people.

Cahn explains that Hamas, known as an Islamic resistance movement, is not only an Arabic acronym but also a Hebrew word found in the Bible. In Hebrew, hamas means violence, evil and destruction. Throughout Scripture, God warns against hamas, calling His people to put an end to it. Cahn believes this parallel is no coincidence—it is a prophetic revelation.
Tracing Hamas’ origins, Cahn notes that the group was founded in Gaza on Dec. 10, 1987, with a charter that explicitly calls for the annihilation of Israel. He highlights that Hamas’ rhetoric echoes Adolf Hitler’s own words, blaming the Jewish people for global unrest and conspiring against them with extreme hatred. The movement, he asserts, is more than just a political entity—it is an agent of ancient darkness.
“Hamas’ charter makes it clear they will never make any peace with the Jewish people,” Cahn says.
Drawing from biblical prophecy, Cahn emphasizes that the conflict with Hamas is part of a much larger spiritual battle. He refers to Revelation 12, where the dragon—Satan—wages war against the woman, Israel, who gives birth to the Messiah. This, he explains, is the longest war in history, spanning from Pharaoh’s oppression in Egypt to the Babylonians, Romans, Nazis and now Hamas. Cahn boldly states that this war will culminate in the end times, when the same forces opposing Israel also will wage war against the followers of Jesus.
This means that the students on college campuses across the U.S. who have risen in support of Hamas have little understanding of what they are actually fighting for. In biblical terms, they are declaring allegiance to violence and destruction. As Christians, we must pray fervently for Israel, for those deceived by Hamas and for God’s justice to prevail.
But the message is not one of fear—it is one of hope.
“Be of good courage,” Cahn says. “Because what we have seen, the Bible foretold. And that tells you that your God is still on the throne, and He’s not getting off of it.”
When Christ returns, there will be no more Hamas, no more violence and no more evil. Until then, believers must stand strong, knowing that they are on the winning side.
