She points to the timing of the move within the window between Purim and Passover as highly significant. Drawing on the biblical story of Esther, Grace sees this moment as a prophetic sign that prayer is poised to return to American schools.
This echoes the 1963 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Engel v. Vitale, which removed prayer from public schools. She believes the dismantling of the Department of Education could open the door for a return to faith-based values in education.
“God is redeeming the time right now,” says Grace. “And He’s redeeming what’s been stolen, and prophetically, this order, this executive order…is a prophetic sign that prayer is coming back to schools in America.”
In the wake of this executive order, the responsibility for education will shift back to individual states.
As Grace points out, this will allow states to determine the direction of their educational systems, with the potential for more localized control and a return to values that reflect the faith of many American families.
“This window is going to get even more explosive than we have already seen,” says Grace. “But prayer is coming back to American schools because what the enemy erected in order to try to keep that from coming back now between Purim and Passover has been dismantled because President Trump has been compelled by God to do this.”
