2020 Presidential Election Could Spell the End of Abortion on Demand

Share:

Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand in the United States, was the most diabolical legal decision in this country’s history. It unleashed a frenzy of shedding of innocent blood that continues unabated to this day.

Think of it: 1.4 million babies are murdered every year in our country. How can that be tolerated—much less celebrated—and at the same time, we expect God’s blessing on our nation? How can we judge anyone for any sin or wrong or crime, when we can legally kill babies?

If President Donald J. Trump is re-elected, we will see the overturn of Roe v. Wade and the end of abortion-on-demand as the law of our land. That means stakes in this election are high.

We don’t have a moment to spare. Each day abortionists kill 2,362 babies in the United States.

The Democratic party, clearly, unequivocally and without apology, is the party of abortion. In 2017, Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez did not mince words: “Every Democrat, like every American, should support a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body and her health. That is not negotiable and should not change city by city or state by state.” Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate for president, is not only a proponent of abortion, but he is in favor of overturning the Hyde Amendment, which outlaws the use of federal funds for most abortions.

By contrast, President Trump is, by dint of his accomplishments, the most pro-life president to ever sit in the oval office. He is the first president to attend the National March for Life. He has appointed over 140 federal judges, including two associate justices of the Supreme Court, who will interpret and enforce the laws—not make them by fiat. The positive impact of these appointments will be felt for decades to come because they are lifetime appointments.

Indeed the impact is already being felt: over 250 pro-life laws were introduced in 2019. State after state is pushing back against abortion. At least one Supreme Court justice will be appointed by the winner of the 2020 presidential race, and that person could provide an unassailable majority for life on the nation’s highest court.

If you wonder how the defense of unborn babies dovetails with the Bible, the answer is, entirely. In Proverbs 24:11-12 (NIV), the Bible commands believers to:

“Rescue those being led away to death;

hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this,’

does not he who weighs the heart perceive it?

Does not he who guards your life know it?

Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?”

If this passage doesn’t apply to the slaughter of unborn, defenseless babies, then to whom does it apply? And if you care about the rights of women, then shouldn’t you also care about the women growing in their mothers’ wombs?

As Pastor Paula White, longtime friend and confidant of President Trump, noted in her interview for the newly released documentary, After Trump—A Warning to America, “The president is extremely pro-life. I mean, that is not a political thing to him. It’s a personal thing to him.”

The president himself has said, “Every life brings love into this world. Every child brings joy to a family. Every person is worth protecting. And above all, we know that every human soul is divine. And every human life, born and unborn, is made in the holy image of almighty God.”

In the same documentary, After Trump—A Warning to America, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez declares,

“What you can’t argue is the fact that the president’s commitment to defending life in the womb and out of the womb, his pro-life stance resonated with the Hispanic-American community on steroids. Thirty percent of Hispanics voted for President Trump, in spite of everything the media said, in spite of even some of the tweets. In spite of that, they supported President Trump because life trumps—no pun intended—absolutely everything.”

When you look at President Trump’s record, as a Christian, you must ask yourself these two questions:

  1. How many lives have been saved and will be saved because of President Trump?
  2. How many more lives will be saved in his next term if President Trump is elected to finish the work he set out to do in 2016?

And if you want to go even deeper into the issues and what’s at stake, help us get the word about the new documentary from Resurrection Pictures, After Trump—A Warning to America. Watch the documentary, invite everyone you know to watch it—the future of our country is at stake.
