A Sign of the Times? Chicago’s Trump Tower Struck by Lightning

Tuesday night was a big night for presidential hopefuls with the primaries taking place in Florida, Ohio, Missouri, North Carolina and Illinois.
It was also a big night for severe weather.
Just after the polls closed in the Windy City Tuesday night, lightning was closing in on a pole of its own—the one at the top of the Trump Tower. Instagram user mrmikeyv captured it all on camera, and the video has since gone viral.
“Thunderstorms rolled through the Chicago metro area late Tuesday night and there was considerable lightning with the storms, particularly between 10 p.m. and midnight,” weather.com meteorologist Quincy Vagell said.
