Christian Rocker Lands in ICU After Tragic ATV Accident
Christian rocker Dallas Taylor landed in the Intensive Care Unit after his ATV hit a sign on church property, according to multiple reports.
“These are significant injuries, and life threatening injuries at that,” said Dr. Scott Brakenridge, a trauma surgeon UF Health. “He also has multiple facial fractures, and a broken jaw, as well as he suffered fractures to his right forearm, and a pretty significant bruise to his lung.”
Taylor founded Christian metal bands Underoath and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster.
Many fans have posted prayers to Maylene’s Facebook page:
“My thoughts and prayers for you Dallas. You guys were always my favorite shows to see even to this day though it’s been years. I miss each of you and I am donating to the cause in hopes of a full recovery and later on a show in Texas,” one fan wrote.
Another posted: “Hope you have a speedy recovery. Been listening to your music Since early underoath. Has helped me get through a lot. Prayers are with you and your family!”
Maylene continues to post updates on their Facebook page.
“UPDATE: Dallas is making basic touch responses like hand squeezing and slight movement. He is not awake, but is showing signs of improvement. They have been running neurological tests and he is set to go into surgery this afternoon to repair the multiple broken bones in his arm.”
