Hasbro Shocks ‘Chewbacca Mom’ With Her Very Own Action Figure
The same mother who made a video to prove a Chewbacca mask belonged to her and not her children is now the proud owner of her very own action figure.
Hasbro presented Candace Payne with the toy when she visited the manufacturer last week.
The doll features Payne in a Wookie outfit and a removable Chewbacca mask, the TODAY show reports. The action figure has 13 phrases from the original video including, “That’s not me making that noise, it’s the mask,” “I am such a happy Chewbacca,” and of course, Payne’s signature laugh.
Payne, a Spirit-filled worship leader at her church in Texas, is now one of the internet’s most viral figures. She’s met Hollywood celebrities from James Corden and JJ Abrams to Pharrell and Stan Lee.
Despite her newfound fame, Payne’s Instagram positions Bible verses next to pictures of her kids.
“#SimpleJoys are found in passionate pursuits. Above all … LOVE … authentically. #RemindingMyself #msg #romans12” she posted recently.
