A Wisconsin manufacturing company is asking Muslims to use their breaks to coincide with prayer times, according to reports. However, the employees say it’s religious discrimination.
Ariens Manufacturing implemented a new policy, saying employees could not leave to pray in the middle of their shifts.
Rather, “We are asking employees to pray during scheduled breaks in designated prayer rooms. Our manufacturing environment does not allow for unscheduled breaks in production,” a spokesperson said.
The New York Daily News reports Muslims are furious at the policy.
