Mississippi Rebels head coach Hugh Freeze reacts with his defense

Outraged Atheists Demand SEC Football Coach Stop Tweeting Bible Verses

University of Mississippi, more commonly known as Ole Miss, Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze will not let an atheist organization intimidate his spreading the gospel online.

Despite a letter from the Freedom From Religion Foundation dated April 5, Freeze today tweeted: “For Christians, this is Super Bowl Weekend! Doesn’t get any bigger. Amazing, totally unmerited gift of grace thru sacrifice! Thank you Jesus.”

FFRF claims a concerned citizen reported the SEC coach promoted his faith too often on his personal Twitter page.

“Though we respect Freeze’s right to tweet as a private citizen, he may not promote his personal religious beliefs while acting in his capacity as a University employee,” the FFRF letter reads.

Freeze frequently retweets encouraging words, Bible verses and pastoral quotes, not to mention a few words of wisdom from HGTV’s Chip Gaines.

FFRF demands Ole Miss stop promoting the coach’s tweets on its main website page.

On the day FFRF sent the letter to Freeze, he retweeted: “Regardless of how we think the world has changed people still respond to kindness, positive words & even a smile ! Try it & see.” {eoa}
