Reports: Planned Parenthood Bullying Mainstream Media Into Ignoring Leaked Videos
Planned Parenthood may be bullying left-leaning outlets into not covering their leaked videos that reveal the sale of fetal organs.
According to Politico, Planned Parenthood’s public relations firm SKDKnickerbocker circulated a memo asking reporters to ignore the videos in their news coverage.
“The group circulated a memo to reporters and producers late Monday that discouraged them from airing the undercover videos, arguing that they were obtained under false identification and violated patient privacy,” Politico reports.
The Federalist reports that while some mainstream outlets picked up the first video, fewer picked up the second.
“So there’s a concerted effort from Planned Parenthood and it’s allies to ‘discourage [media outlets] from airing the undercover videos’? The deuce, you say? That would certainly go a long way towards explaining why so many left-leaning media outlets refused to cover the second video, which captured a senior Planned Parenthood executive noting that she needed a good deal on aborted baby organs because ‘I want a Lamborghini,'” the article reads.
However, according to the Washington Monthly, media outlets aren’t ignoring the videos out of threat, but because to indulge in posting them would be poor journalism.
“Think about what journalists faced when the video appeared,” writes Ed Kilgore. “It was self-evidently the product of a advocacy sting operation. It was heavily edited. It was released with language suggesting that Planned Parenthood committed multiple felonies (again, I keep wondering why the scamsters here didn’t have an obligation to go to law enforcement officers with their video when it was shot more than a year ago).”
If the abortion clinic is leveling its influence to prevent negative coverage, it would not be the first time they used their money to go against the pro-life agenda.
Bound4Life conducted an interview with a former state representative who says she lost her seat because of the abortion clinic.
Bette Grande says she lost her seat in a recent election because Planned Parenthood “poured close to $2 million” into North Dakota and tagged issues ads with Grande’s name—sealing her narrow defeat.
The abortion clinic also made headlines in 2012 for reportedly bullying the Susan G. Komen organization for cutting their support to the organization.
