These Are the Most Sinful Cities in America
The headquarters for the Assemblies of God denomination is in one of the most sinful cities in America. Springfield, Missouri, ranks after Las Vegas, Nevada; St. Louis, Missouri; Cincinnati, Ohio and Orlando, Florida.
The research, compiled by Wallet Hub, examined the presence of specific sins such as anger and hatred, jealousy, excess and vices, gambling, lust, vanity and laziness.
The researchers then broke down each category by looking at the effects of these sins. For anger and hatred, they evaluated a city’s violent crime rate, number of sex offenders and suicide rate.
“The sins people commit every day lead many to wonder what incites them, whether certain evil acts are worse than others and how people can conquer their inner demons,” Wallet Hub’s Richie Bernardo writes.
The remaining top 10 most sinful cities include Miami, Florida; Richmond, Virginia; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Although the most sinful cities appear to be spread across the map, the most Bible-minded cities are found in the South.
The most Bible-minded cities are Chattanooga, Tennessee; Birmingham, Anniston and Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Roanoke and Lynchburg, Virginia; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Tri-Cities, Tennessee. {eoa}
