On Dec. 13, Brazilian gospel singer Pedro Henrique tragically passed away while performing on stage at a religious event in Feira de Santana. The 30-year-old musician was singing his hit song “Vai Ser Tão Lindo” when he suddenly lost his balance, fell backward and collapsed in front of his band.

In a chilling moment captured on video, Henrique held his microphone in the air, urging the crowd to sing along before he brought it back to his mouth and collapsed. People rushed to help him, while the crowd watched in shock. The performance was being broadcast live on social media channels.

Henrique leaves behind his wife, Suilan Barreto, and their 2-month-old daughter, Zoe.

Todah Music, Henrique’s record label, confirmed that he had suffered a massive heart attack and was pronounced dead at a local medical clinic. The label released a statement expressing their grief and acknowledging that there are difficult situations in life that we cannot explain.

“We just need to understand that the will of God prevails!” the statement read. “Pedro was a cheerful young man, a friend to all… a husband and super-dedicated father. There is no pastor or Christian in Brazil who says anything different… The Christian music segment is mourning.”

The Todah Music family also expressed their grief and said that heaven had gained an illustrious son in Pedro Henrique. They added, “See you soon, dear brother!!! See you all soon! May the Holy Spirit comfort you all!”

It is a comfort to know that Pedro Henrique now rests with Jesus, and we can take solace in the fact that he is at peace in the loving embrace of our Lord. May his family, friends and fans find strength and hope in their faith during this difficult time.{eoa}
