Pastor’s Warning to the Church After Escaping Historic Missile Strike in Israel
After heading to Israel to pray for the people there following the devastating wildfires that hit the area, Pastor Greg Locke went home to preach to his Global Vision Bible Church congregation. On his way out, he saw God’s hand miraculously protect him from danger that hit the Ben Gurion International Airport.
“We were the last flight out before the whole airport got shut down this morning at dawn because the Houthis actually landed a missile at the Tel Aviv airport,” Locke says.

He recalled the shock of that moment: “First time it’s happened in a very, very long time… Somehow someway one weaseled through and landed at the Tel Aviv airport and at sunrise they shut the whole thing down.”
Prior to this occurrence, Locke says he felt something stirring in the Spirit and he called his son to let him know he may not be present for his graduation ceremony. However, God made it possible for him to make it home safely.
“So I literally got the last flight out before they shut the whole thing down because a rocket went off this morning,” Locke says.
Mid-flight, as notifications flooded his phone, Locke received grave news from a trusted friend involved in their archaeological dig in the Qumran Desert. “We just lost our top dig engineer… a great worker, became a great friend and confidant to me, even as a Jewish individual.” The archaeologist had been suddenly called up for military service.
In the midst of global instability—missiles landing in Tel Aviv, historic military mobilizations in Israel and rising tensions among world powers—God gave Locke a warning which is resounding as a call for believers to shake off complacency.
“Go home and warn the people, son. Go home and warn the church. Go home and warn America. Go home and warn the lukewarm church,” came the message Pastor Greg Locke heard from the Lord. “Go warn them. My sirens are going off, son. Go warn the people.”

As many churches have grown silent on matters of urgency and holiness, this episode is a prophetic indictment against lukewarm faith. Locke’s escape from Israel mere hours before the airport shut down shows the seriousness of the hour. He isn’t merely reporting from a war zone—he’s delivering a mandate.
The convergence of crises in Israel, Europe and Asia points to a prophetic timeline accelerating toward fulfillment. For the American church, the message is clear: it’s time to wake up, repent and return to the fire of first love before the shaking intensifies.
