Prophetic Revelation: Rainbows Following Queen Elizabeth II Passing
Read Time: 2 minutes 19 seconds
As crowds gathered around Buckingham Palace after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II a remarkable “sign” shone throughout the sky. Thousands were an awe as a double rainbow arched over the castle right next to the flag at half mast.
The longest reigning monarch died at 96-years-old, leaving the country and those around the world mourning the loss of the defender of the faith. She was vocal about her faith especially in her final Christmas address on Dec. 25, 2021 saying Jesus was the “bedrock” of her faith.
Throughout the Bible we see rainbows symbolizing the promises of God for His children. As we look to the Bible for hope and are reminded of the truth that lie in the sacred pages, we rest assured that He has a plan for the future.
During the time of Noah, after God had flooded the earth, He blessed Noah and his sons and told them to be fruitful and multiply. God gave all of the beasts of the earth, fish of the sea and all plants into their hands.
God promised Noah He would never flood the earth again and established a covenant with him. Genesis 9:13 says, “I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.”
It was after a time of judgement, storms and trials that God showed His faithfulness to Noah and his sons. God put the rainbow in the clouds as His sign to us.
The queen once said, “To what greater inspiration and counsel can we turn than to the imperishable truth to be found in this treasure house, the Bible.”
After her passing not only did a double rainbow appear at Buckingham Palace but two more formed over Windsor Castle.
One For Israel looked into the significance of the oath God makes in Genesis 9 using the Hebrew word for oath “sheva.” Interestingly enough the Hebrew word for Elizabeth is “Elisheva,” which means “My god has promised/sworn an oath.”
“Each week Jewish people read a portion from the Torah and an accompanying passage from the Prophets known as the ‘Hafterah,’ One For Israel notes. The week that the queen died the reading was Isaiah 54:1-10.
In Isaiah 54:9-10 God says, “For this is as the waters of Noah to Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no longer cover the earth, so I have sworn that I would not be wrathful with you nor rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed, and the hills may shake, but My kindness hall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed, says the LORD who has mercy on you.”
God is clearly speaking to His people through the passing of the queen. Many are feeling uncertain especially as King Charles has been quoted that he will be the defender of faiths (plural) as the head of the Church of England.
It appears that God is showing all that He is Omniscient and Omnipresent, and whoever may take Queen Elizabeth II’s place will never fully be in charge. God is seated on His throne, and only He truly holds the power and we can put our hope in that. {eoa}
