While “disappointed,” the owners of Ashers Baking Company are not without hope.
“We are upset things haven’t gone our way,” Karen McArthur says. ” … But it doesn’t change how we feel about God.”
The McArthurs are just one example of the onslaught of Christian persecution through financial attacks.
The couple refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding ceremony in Ireland, launching a lawsuit where the plaintiff says the rejection made him feel “unworthy” and a “lesser person.”
The McArthurs were not intimidated, though, by his—or the court’s—demands and stand by their biblical foundations.
