Breaking Your Agreement With Demonic Intentions
For those of you who have been around a while, you probably remember the “name it and claim it” days. It was a time where people were speaking what they wanted, believing they could have it. The thing is, most of it was trying to speak into existent material goods like cars and houses. I’m not trying to debate that teaching, but because of it, the pendulum then swung back the other direction, and people stopped believing in the power of words. Now we hear people talking and complaining about what they don’t have and speaking about their sickness as though what they say makes no difference.
I really hate it when I hear a believer say “my cancer” or “my diabetes.” They may have gotten that diagnosis, but it doesn’t belong to them. Why would anyone want to take ownership of a sickness? I’m not talking about denial. Romans 4:19 says about Abraham, “And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body to be dead (when he was about a hundred years old), nor yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.” He was fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He promised. We can face the fact that something may not be right in our body or our life, but we shouldn’t expect it to stay that way. We need to be speaking the promises of God, believing they will come to pass.
“Against all hope, he believed in hope” (Rom. 4:18a). We all need to practice stirring up the hope in ourselves and others by using the power of our voice. Genesis 1 says, that the Spirit of God was hovering or vibrating over the waters. Then “God said, ‘Let there be light, and there was light'” (Gen. 1:3). What were these frequencies of sound that brought forth creation? While we may not fully understand it, we do know that God says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Prov. 18:21a), and when we sing or speak wonderful words of faith, we can bring life.
Let’s stop agreeing with our enemy the devil through complaining and negative talk. Let’s stop thinking our prayers and start using the vibrations of the vocal cords to speak out loud the wonders of God.
Overcoming faith is speaking the miracle you see in the future even when you only see defeat in the natural. We have been given the power to face the facts given to us with faith and hope, knowing the promises of God are always “yes and amen.”
When the frequency of our voice speaking faith in God’s Word pours from our mouth, our body responds and those creative vibrations bring life. Let the power of your voice bring life today.
