Pastor Saeed Abedini Passes 1,000-Day Mark in Iran Prison
1,000,000 signatures and growing.
That’s how many have signed our petition for American Pastor Saeed Abedini’s freedom.
Tomorrow, Pastor Saeed will have suffered 1,000 days wrongfully imprisoned in Iran because he is a Christian.
He has been beaten, threatened, demanded he recant his Christian faith and become Muslim.
The world is rising up with one voice, demanding Iran release this innocent U.S. citizen. One million unique signatures. That’s 1,000 signatures for every single day of Pastor Saeed’s imprisonment.
We are overwhelmed and grateful for this outpouring of support. The American people—and people all across the world—are being heard. The world is not only listening; it is speaking out.
With just days to go before the stated June 30th deadline for negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program, all eyes are on Iran.
As news of Pastor Saeed’s plight travels across the globe, so does the overwhelming display of support.
Pastor Saeed shouldn’t have to languish another single day in one of the world’s worst prisons. He shouldn’t be forced to endure another day of the pain from prison beatings. He shouldn’t have to miss another Father’s Day, birthday, or anniversary away from his loving wife and adoring young children.
The American people have spoken; Congress has unanimously spoken; the world is speaking out – demanding Pastor Saeed be freed.
But we cannot relent. At the ACLJ, we are taking these signatures to the White House, the State Department, Congress, the United Nations, and to every world leader we meet with around the globe. We are aggressively fighting for Pastor Saeed’s freedom.
If you haven’t signed this critical petition, we need your voice. Pastor Saeed needs your voice.
