Holy Ghost Forums: A Divine Response to the Progressive Seeker-Friendly Church
The video prophecy was one of many divine utterances that was given at our most recent Holy Ghost Forum at Good News Family Worship Center in Barrington, New Jersey. Forum hosts Pastor Ray and Carol Shannon, who have been in Christian service for 40 years, have had to plow and fight for the move of God, gifts and operations of the Holy Spirit, and unity in a very territorial region where personal kingdom building is high and networking is at a low. They lead a remnant church of Spirit-filled believers.
In my opinion, the Holy Ghost Forum is one of America’s best-kept secrets. The forum is a panel of Ephesians 4:11 ministry gifts that minister the Word and the Spirit in a 1 Corinthians 14:26 format where “each one has a psalm, a teaching, a tongue, a revelation, and an interpretation.”
I think most of you would agree that over the last decade, we have seen the rise of progressive churches and seeker-friendly churches and a subsequent diminishing of the moving of the real Spirit of God in many of our assemblies. I’m deeply concerned about it. However, there is a parallel move of a divine response to this compromise. It is the Spirit-filled and Spirit-empowered church.
The purpose of these Holy Ghost Forums is to light and ignite a passion for the moving of the Holy Spirit on the earth today in demonstration and in power—to ignite lives that they might carry the Spirit to other places they return to and locales where they minister.
Here are three testimonies from pastors who have attended past Forums:
“I’ve seen how we have fallen short of the Spirit’s ministry in our services, while being given the tools and encouragement to meet the New Testament standard.” —DC, Connecticut
“If you want to yield and flow in the gifts of the Spirit associate with those who have it working. They have it working at the Holy Ghost forum. It’s real and authentic. It’s clean and life giving.” —Rev. T.K., Massachusetts
“These meetings always sharpen me in the workings of the Spirit.” —Pastor C.W., Massachusetts

I’d also like to encourage ministers to prayerfully consider hosting one of these in your city and area, and to possibly include other churches in your region. A forum of this magnitude could ignite not only your church, but other pastors and ministry gifts, propel the body of Christ into a deeper move of the Spirit and create a momentum of divine activity in your area.
