Twerking

Student-Teacher Sex, Lewd ‘Twerking’ Go Mainstream

Justin Bieber pees into mop bucket at NYC nightclub (with video). Brandi Glanville gets drunk, suffers a nip slip and exposes her thong. Nicki Minaj gets a handful at strip club.

These are just a few of the gossip-driven headlines that made their way onto top news on Google News this morning. Although these stories call out some of the most troubling celebs in Hollywood, you can find similar stories in American high schools.

And why not, since many high schoolers are wallowing in the immoral muck and mire that Hollywood spoonfeeds them 24/7? Consider some of the latest incidents in American high schools.

A 16-year-old boy was recently arrested on suspicion of distributing nude photos of four teenage girls via Twitter. Where did he get that idea? Maybe from trashy Twitter accounts like @NudeCelebsDaily?

Meanwhile, three underage students who were involved in prostitution at a North Carolina high school are facing criminal charges for selling sex for $20. Where did they get that idea? Maybe from movies like The Babysitters? Or maybe they went retro and watched the Tom Cruise classic Risky Business.

Then there was the recent high school “twerking” scandal. Thirty-three San Diego high school students were suspended in May for a YouTube video that shows them making obscene, sexual moves in odd positions. Where did they get that idea? Could it be from the likes of the many celebs, from Rihanna to Bieber to Beyonce and beyond, that are twerking their loins out?

Of course, it’s not just the students. Teachers are also getting in on the sin. In the latest incident, a Redlands high school English teacher was arrested for unlawful sex with an underage student, according to CrimeVoice.com, and 41 felony counts were filed. Classic movies like Dustin Hoffman’s The Graduate make this sort of crime enticing—and Google News shows that teacher-student sex is a common immoral incident. There’s story after story about teachers and students having sex.

I could go on and on—and on and on. It’s clear that the prince of the power of the air is using Hollywood to push immorality to the masses—and that’s nothing new. But the problem is getting worse, in part because the social media technology makes it easy to distribute nude photos on Twitter, twerk on YouTube and otherwise consume all the immorality your eyes desire on Netflix.

So while we’re praying for Hollywood, can we pray for high schoolers too? They hold the future of America in their hands.
