Did ‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Willie Robertson Just Endorse Donald Trump?
Willie Robertson “does like me some Trump.”
“Here’s the deal. We’re both successful businessmen. We both have pretty big shows on television,” the Duck Dynasty star said at a Donald Trump rally. “We both have wives that are 1,000 times better looking than us, so I like Trump.”
If the Republican front-runner gets Robertson’s vote, though, it’s one away from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
Robertson pledged Jindal his support in July, Charisma News reported.
“Last week, my friend Bobby Jindal announced his campaign for president. I’m excited he is running. Bobby has my vote,” Robertson posted on a fundraising page.
He continued: “I know the values Bobby has. He is a good man. An honest man. A godly man. And I’m proud to call him a friend. … We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. We need Bobby’s leadership to help fix the mess in Washington. I’m the kind of guy who really likes smart people—and Bobby’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met in my life.”
Media have questioned Trump’s faith values before, but the business tycoon was present at the Values Voter Summit recently.
At the Summit, Trump told CBN’s David Brody he is a praying man.
