Donald Trump Suggests More Swamp Draining
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has given voters in the Nov. 8 general election something else to consider as they head to the polls.
In a speech Tuesday in Colorado, he said his ethics reform proposals weren’t the only swamp draining he had in mind for Washington, D.C. He also has his sights set on Congress.
“If I am elected president, I will push for a Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress,” he said. “Decades of failure in Washington, and decades of special interest dealing, must come to an end. We have to break the cycle of corruption, and we have to give new voices a chance to go into government service. The time for Congressional term limits has arrived.”
