Dr. Jim Garlow: This is a Crisis Moment in America
Dr. Jim Garlow took a moment at the close of the Sunday service at Skyline Church to discuss Tuesday’s general election.
“We are at a crisis moment in America,” he said. Religious liberty and the ability for Christians to speak out on the issues of importance of the day are under direct attack, he added.
Garlow then spoke out about the issues of importance Christians should consider when they go to vote—noting the stark differences between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and his Democratic Party counterpart, Hillary Clinton—which he said was much more than a right, but a biblical responsibility outlined in Romans 13. He also discussed openly his position with the Trump campaign’s spiritual advisory board.
He said he didn’t need to tell his congregation which presidential candidate to vote for, because they already knew how to vote. And, he had a message for anyone who felt his sermon might somehow violate the Johnson Amendment.
“By the way, if anyone from the IRS is watching right now, sue me,” he said, drawing a long round of applause from his congregation.
