The Media Turn on the Mogul … Again

It’s no secret that Trump and the mainstream media are not fast friends. The outspoken president has often called out the media for unfair and biased coverage of his campaign and presidency, coining the term “fake news” in the process.

From the tearing away of Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star to a concerted effort of more than 300 editorial boards around the world coordinating to “express disdain for President Trump’s attacks on the news media,” the media contempt for Donald Trump is evident.

Best-selling author Stephen E. Strang says the love-to-hate relationship between President Trump and some media is due to the fact that reporters, editors and producers everywhere are still “quaking” from the aftershocks of Trump’s unlikely election as leader of the free world.

Just last week, President Trump pledged to end the “suppression of conservative voices” and may possibly pursue media regulation that mandates balance. It’s a far cry from when the media once fawned over The Apprentice creator and hotel magnate.

“If Donald Trump’s election was an earthquake, his accomplishments since then are the aftershocks the world never saw coming,” said Strang, who wrote the soon-to-be-released book, Trump Aftershock. “The Trump agenda, promoted daily by unconventional means to millions of voters, is helping to ‘make America great again.’ Donald Trump never could count on the mainstream media to get his message out, so he’s relied on his own smarts, ingenuity and prowess to do so—and very successfully.”

In Trump Aftershock: The President’s Seismic Impact on Culture and Faith in America, out on Election Day, Nov. 6, Strang explores how Trump’s agenda aims to free the economy and stock market to boom as never before; restore the federal courts with judges who rule by the Constitution, not legislate from the bench; address the surge of illegal immigration; rebuild the U.S. military to ensure peace through strength; combat the media’s fake news war; deal with foreign leaders through an unconventional approach; expose the deep state and agenda of former President Barack Obama; strengthen ties with Israel and find a lasting peace in the Middle East; protect religious liberty and traditional values; uplift America’s standing in the world while putting America’s interests first and much more.

Strang also explores the president’s effect on American culture from a Christian perspective. Trump Aftershock will uncover the unreported facts while objectively helping readers understand what the nation’s most unlikely and unconventional president has accomplished, including a featured section on these advancements called “500 Days of American Greatness.”

Strang is an award-winning journalist and successful businessman who began his career as a newspaper reporter at the Orlando Sentinel. He later founded a Christian publishing house and media company while interviewing and writing about nearly every Christian leader in the country over the past four decades.

Trump Aftershock is published by Frontline, an imprint of Charisma House, which has published books that challenge, encourage, teach and equip Christians, including 14 New York Times best-sellers.
