President-Elect Donald Trump to Launch a ‘USA Thank-You Tour’
President-elect Donald Trump is planning to visit a number of the states that helped get him elected as part of a “USA Thank-You Tour” with Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
But first, they’re headed to Pence’s home state of Indiana to celebrate their administration’s first real victory in the effort to “Make America Great Again.” They will visit the Indianapolis Carrier air conditioner manufacturing plant where Trump was able to negotiate a deal that kept 1,000 jobs from being moved out of the country.
The president-elect worked on the deal over the Thanksgiving holiday, announcing on Twitter that while the nation was celebrating the holiday, he was still working to save the jobs he promised to fight for during the election campaign. Carrier announced Tuesday it would keep the jobs in the U.S.
Trump and Pence are scheduled to visit with workers at the Indianapolis plant at 2 p.m. EST Thursday. Afterward, they will board “Trump Force One” and hold a “USA Thank-You Tour” rally at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati beginning at 7 p.m. EST.
