Created Equal Has a Special Delivery for the Senate
In its effort to fight for the defunding of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, the pro-life group Created Equal will be making 100 special deliveries to the U.S. Senate this week.
No storks required.
Each senator will receive “Baby Hope,” a doll that looks like a 12-week-old fetus. The doll will include a personalized message to each senator about the importance of defunding Planned Parenthood and other abortion businesses in its final health care bill. The letter states, in part:
My name is Baby Hope. I’m only 12 weeks old, but I want to live. Sadly, there is a high likelihood I will be killed by Planned Parenthood before I ever get a chance to be born. Even worse, Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion provider that kills 900 preborn babies like me each day, would get paid by American taxpayers to kill me.
However, you can stop Planned Parenthood from killing me and many others. Here’s how: Vote for a health care bill that will not subsidize abortion and will redirect abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding to community health centers.
For my sake and [the sake of] hundreds like me, I beg you to refuse to fund abortion and Planned Parenthood in the health care bill.
Created Equal leaders are hopeful the pitch, which highlights the innate humanness of every unborn child, will break what they call the “logjam” in the Senate over passage of the Better Care Reconciliation Act, that chamber’s version of “repeal and replace” of Obamacare. The goal is to redirect the money that would otherwise go to Planned Parenthood and the like to community health centers.
“It is time to hold our pro-life representatives accountable for their campaign promise to defund Planned Parenthood,” the organization’s national director, Mark Harrington, said. “Baby Hope will deliver a strong message to every single U.S. Senator to end abortion funding and redirect taxpayer dollars to community health centers.” {eoa}
