New Film Describes How Parents Should Make an Exodus from Common Core-Dominated Schools

A new film from the Exodus Mandate exposes the comprehensive and accelerating failure of the government school system and the encroachment of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) on our children’s education. The DVD, Escaping Common Core: Setting Our Children Free (Volume 1), is heating up as Common Core becomes a major issue in the 2016 presidential campaign. Exodus Mandate says it is necessary to contrast the origins of Common Core and the history of progressive education with Biblical, Christian education. This film describes the socialist worldview agenda, its dangers, and why Christians and churches can no longer participate in public schools. The ministry also explores biblical alternatives for K-12 education and details why public school reform is not possible. The topic is not a new one for the organization. Their 2011 DVD, IndoctriNation, educated parents about the history of the public schools. Dr. Bruce Shortt said in the DVD, “The government schools teach a toxic mixture of post modernism, secular humanism, feminism, environmentalism, Gramsci Marxism, and a whole lot of other things…just not Christianity.” “There is no reason Christian parents should send their precious children to a pagan, atheistic, hostile public school – it would be like sending sheep to the slaughter,” says Chaplain E. Ray Moore, who was executive producer for that film and is involved with the new DVD. “Scripture commands families to provide Christian education, not a secular or godless education.” Chaplain Moore wrote the script and is the executive producer of this new movie, as well.
