Dr. James Dobson: Tell Congress They Can’t Draft Our Daughters
Dr. James Dobson, in his May newsletter, is urging his supporters to contact their senators in Washington, D.C., to convince them to vote against any measure that would force women to be included in the Selective Service Act.
He wrote:
Last week, I had the pleasure of sharing with you some of the highlights of my recent visit to Washington, D.C., specifically meeting with President Trump, Vice President Pence, and attending the National Day of Prayer services, among other significant events.
While my visit to the White House was a tremendous blessing, there is much work to be done on Capitol Hill regarding the “Draft America’s Daughters” legislation that I wrote to you about in my April newsletter. I met with Senator Ted Cruz and numerous congressmen, including Representative Duncan Hunter of California, concerning the tragic implications for our families if Congress and the Supreme Court require 18 to 26 year-old girls to register for the Selective Service. As unbelievable as this may sound, I am saddened to report that this initiative is what Senator John McCain and his nine-member committee have been promoting behind closed doors.
Parents beware! Do you want your daughters to be conscripted into combat service and placed in harm’s way in future wars? If not, then you must call or write your representative and senators to let them know you do not support the “Draft America’s Daughters” bill!
Please—join me in prayer for our families and the need to stop this effort that would place our daughters on the front lines of battle. Don’t delay, contact them today!
