Franklin Graham says,

We Don’t Need a Republican Revolution—What We Really Need Is a Conservative Revolution

Are you sick and tired of being betrayed by politicians who use the conservative label to get votes but then never actually act like conservatives once they get into office? As a voter, this is something that has deeply frustrated me for decades. On the federal level, there are a few dozen true conservatives in Congress, and I am very thankful for them. In particular, Mark Meadows, Raul Labrador and other members of the Freedom Caucus are doing an outstanding job. But they are greatly outnumbered by a huge number of RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) that have fooled conservatives into voting for them. In 2018, it is time for conservatives to say that enough is enough.

If conservatives will work together, we can do extraordinary things. But we just can’t sit back and wait for someone else to do something.

Right now, the left is already working very hard on winning back Congress in 2018. In fact, it was being reported Monday that Hillary Clinton has just launched a new organization that is going to focus on helping Democratic candidates take seats away from the Republicans.

The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee on Monday formally launched Onward Together, a political nonprofit group that she said is “dedicated to advancing the progressive vision that earned nearly 66 million votes in the last election.”

The group is poised to help fund some of the organizations at the forefront of liberal efforts to push back on President Trump’s agenda and to seize seats from Republicans in Congress. Clinton said Onward Together will support groups such as Swing Left, which is working to elect Democrats to the House, and Indivisible, a rapidly expanding organization of anti-Trump activists who are using tactics borrowed from conservative Tea Party activists to oppose Trump and to challenge congressional Republicans at town hall meetings.

And if you go to the official website of Swing Left, you will see that they are laser focused on trying to win specific districts in the House of Representatives.

We can do the same sorts of things if we are just willing to take decisive action.

Just like I did yesterday, I would like to share with you an excerpt from an upcoming book. When it is finally finished, you will be able to find it on my author page. I am feeling led to become more involved in politics, and you will want to keep an eye on my websites for some very exciting announcements in the near future. The following excerpt from my upcoming book is about the need for a conservative revolution:

We are no longer going to have any tolerance for politicians who campaign like conservatives but who govern like Democrats. It has been said that Republicans and Democrats are just two sides of the same coin, and unfortunately that is quite true much of the time. At the end of the day, there really is not much difference between most Republicans and most Democrats. Of course the Democrats are taking us down the tubes a little bit faster than establishment Republicans would, but the destination is still the same.

This is why we don’t need another Republican revolution. What we actually need is a conservative revolution. As I write this, the Republicans have been given control of the White House, the Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives, and yet the government continues to pretty much operate as if the Democrats were still in control.

And whenever important negotiations between the two parties happen, the Democrats always get virtually everything that they want.

Why?

Unfortunately, it is because Democrats are far more willing to stand up for what they believe than Republicans are.

The primary reason for this is because many Republican lawmakers never believed in conservative principles in the first place. Even though most Republicans campaign as conservatives, most of them never actually intend to govern as conservatives, and it is time for conservative voters to put an end to this practice.

And of course there are many prominent conservative voices that are on the exact same page. During a recent interview, conservative commentator Ann Coulter expressed her disgust with the Republicans in Congress:

I do, of course, blame Congress most of all. They are swine. They only care about their own careers. Who knows how much of it is corruption and how much of it is pure stupidity? People should start sending Paul Ryan bricks to indicate how much we want the wall.

They are the opposition party to Donald Trump. This is really something we’ve never seen before. The president stands alone, it’s his own political party, he’s Gary Cooper. All we have is millions of Americans behind him, but he doesn’t have anybody in Washington behind him.

As a child, I was tremendously affected by the Reagan revolution. I was 10 years old when Ronald Reagan won the 1980 election, and I have had a deep interest in politics ever since.

Reagan won two presidential elections by landslides because he gave people hope. He made people believe that it could be “morning in America” again and that there could actually be a bright future for their children and their grandchildren. He did that by proudly embracing conservative values and by communicating them in a way that the average person on the street could understand.

Today, it is up to us to proudly carry on Reagan’s conservative legacy.

We need to be proud of what we believe.

We need to be proud of liberty and freedom.

We need to be proud of the values that our forefathers enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.

We need to be proud of free markets and capitalism.

We need to be proud of standing up for American sovereignty.

We need to be proud of being Pro-Life.

We need to be proud of wanting a limited federal government.

We need to be proud of defending the 2nd Amendment.

We need to be proud of wanting to lower taxes as far as possible (and someday eliminating them entirely).

And we need to be proud of our faith. For a long time progressives have wanted to remove every possible shred of the Christian faith from the halls of government, but our founders were men of faith and our Declaration of Independence says that we get our rights not from any man-made document but from our Creator.

Unfortunately, strong men of faith who attempt to run for Congress are often greatly opposed by the establishment. For example, former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore is currently being blackballed by GOP leadership.

“I don’t think they want the way I think up there,” Moore said of the GOP leadership. “I’m not apologetic for the way I think. I just want to abide by the Constitution and acknowledge God as the basis for our Constitution, which He is. They don’t like that and I guess they don’t like that I stand for what I believe. But I’m not going to change doing that.”

I am proud to stand with Roy Moore, and I support his run for the U.S. Senate.

Way too often, conservatives, Christians and patriots end up bitterly fighting over very small issues. We need to figure out who our friends are, and we need to start working together to turn this country around while there is still time to do so.

I don’t know if we will be successful or not, but neither did the brave Americans that fought in the Revolutionary War. At that time, most people never would have dreamed that the colonies could win independence from the British, but thanks to the relentless efforts of our forefathers, it actually happened.

So who will rise up and take a stand in this generation? You never know—maybe you will be the next conservative to completely shock the political world by coming out of nowhere and winning an election that you were not supposed to win.

Not too long ago, a minister I greatly respect issued a national call for Christian men and women to become engaged in politics. I would encourage everyone reading this to carefully consider the following words from Rev. Franklin Graham:

We need men and women to run for office at every level, Christians who believe in biblical values and principles and are willing to stand for them and follow them.

And we need people who serve and follow Jesus Christ to learn the issues, pay attention to the candidates, and vote in every election—local, state and national. I’m not telling people who to vote for. We won’t permit any candidates to appear at any Decision America Tour rally, and I am not endorsing anyone. Who to vote for is something each person should decide through prayer. No political party is going to be able to turn this around. I have no hope in the Democratic Party. I have no hope in the Republican Party. I have no hope in any other party to fix the problems. My only hope is in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Both my mother and my father were deeply affected by Billy Graham’s ministry, and now his son Franklin is carrying the gospel to a new generation.

Of course, not everyone is called into politics. Some are called into the ministry, some are called into the business world, some are called to work with the poor and needy, some are called into the world of education, and some are called to serve in other ways.

But we can all do something to make a difference.

You were born for such a time as this. We can all be great at something, and it is when we are serving others that we become the very best versions of ourselves.

In 1976, an unassuming 41-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist from Texas won a seat in Congress. He probably never dreamed that he would one day run for president or that he would eventually become one of the most important conservative icons of his time.

His name is Ron Paul, and he showed the world what ordinary people can do if they are willing to put everything on the line to make a difference.

And you certainly don’t have to be a man to shake the world. In 2007, a 51-year-old mother of five literally came out of nowhere to win the seat representing Minnesota’s 6th congressional district. For eight years she proudly stood in the eye of the storm, and her contributions to the conservative cause will be remembered for as long as America exists.

Her name is Michele Bachmann, and the courage she displayed on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives is sorely missed.

Now it is our turn. If we do not try, the forces trying to drag this nation into oblivion will win by default.

But that is not going to happen, because a new conservative revolution is rising.

All across America, young conservatives are getting ready to take this country back. We will not bend, we will not bow and we will not break. Like our forefathers before us, we will battle on even when it looks like the odds are totally against us, because you can never defeat the spirit of a true American.

Yes, this nation is facing some extremely great challenges.

But we are not going down without a fight.

So I issue a call to all that will hear me.

Come and stand with us as we fight for our Republic.

Come and stand with us as we fight to save the Constitution.

Come and stand with us as we fight for the future of our children and our grandchildren.

The progressives want to turn our shining city on the hill into yet another godless socialist utopia. But anyone that wants to see where that road leads should just move to Venezuela or North Korea.

Of course in the end, the progressives are not going to win, because the people of this country are not going to let them win.

There are millions of us who still remember what America is supposed to stand for, and there are millions of us who are still willing to carry the banner of freedom and liberty.

This is our time, and the next phase of the American Revolution begins now.
