The polls have cemented a few impressions in the political imagination: Donald Trump continues to rise. Hillary Clinton continues to sink. But lesser-known candidates may have something to celebrate, as well—one, in particular.
According to a Bloomberg Politics and the Des Moines Register, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has had a greater jump in his favorability ratings than any other candidate in the race. The percentage of people who view him favorably surged 18 points and crossed well into the majority, leaping from 43 percent to 61 percent.
Jindal, who has been endorsed by Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson, has not seen that translate into greater standing in the overall contest—at least, not yet. But higher favorables never hurt anyone’s political future for the first, or second, spot on the presidential ticket.
