Pro-Life Advocate Endorses Marco Rubio
Friday, Republican presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio announced international disability advocate Joni Tada has endorsed his candidacy and joined his Dignity of Life Advisory Board.
Tada, who founded Joni and Friends International Disability Center, has served on the National Council on Disability under presidents Reagan and Bush. She also served on the U.S. State Department’s Disability Advisory Committee under former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
As a quadriplegic, she said she understands clearly the need to safeguard the rights of the medically fragile, the unborn, those with disabilities, and the elderly.
“American society, as with any nation, is judged on how it treats its weakest members, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and the unborn,” she said. “It is why I personally support Senator Marco Rubio. On all issues relating to sanctity of life, Senator Rubio is solidly committed to a compassionate social conservatism which lifts up the needy. I strongly urge you to join me in supporting his campaign for U.S. president.”
