How Can a Good God Send People to Hell?

Share:

Theologians Don Carson and Timothy Keller say one of the most common objections to Christianity is the issue of heaven and hell. So how do we address this?

“If somebody says, ‘You’re not going to send everybody to hell, are you?’ … answer with a question: ‘Surely you don’t think that nobody goes to hell, do you?'” Carson says.

Keller says that typically once you ask people about Hitler, they say it’s OK for people like that to go to hell. But then you have to discuss what the criteria are for who goes to heaven, which leads to a discussion about holiness and who God is.
