Prominent Faith Leaders Warn ‘We Can’t Wait’ Until Elections to Change America

Lance Wallnau, Mario Murillo and Pastor Hank Kunneman are in agreement. Christians cannot wait until the mid-term elections in 2022 or the next presidential election in 2024 to help change the ever-darkening landscape of America. Something must be done, they all say, and it must be done now.

Kunneman, senior pastor of Lord of Hosts church in Omaha, Nebraska, says the time has come for believers to stand up and fix what happened in November 2020 instead of waiting a year.

“I think we need to have the spirit of Elijah, one that’s not afraid to confront, not afraid to call out what is false and stand for what is right and know that we will have God’s backing,” Kunneman said on a recent episode of Flashpoint Live with Gene Bailey. “My question for the people that thought that they could get by with trying to destroy our country is why do they want to destroy our country in the first place? We cannot let 2020 go without the truth being known and something done about it. I hear people talk about 2022 mid-term elections. I hear people talk about 2024, and that’s good news. It’s what we need to push for, to strive for, to work hard for. But when we push it off to 2022 and 2024, it’s almost like we’re falling into the hands of the enemy. We’re saying, well, I guess we can’t fix 2020. That is a bad and dangerous message that we are sending to the people that did this to our country.”

Wallnau, a conservative political commentator, says God has given His children an Elijah moment right now that believers need to realize and take hold of.

“Man, how things have gone south since Trump isn’t in town and, as a person of faith, I have been forced to ask the question: What is God doing at this moment? What God is doing is bigger than what we wanted. We wanted Trump to go back into the arena and fight all of the monsters. But I think the Lord has said, ‘No, take him out.’ America has to make a choice as to what kind of country it is going to be. I really think we need to realize that God is giving us a moment like Elijah on Mount Carmel saying, how long are you going to waffle between two opinions? What kind of country are you going to be?”

Murillo, a Bible teacher, evangelist and journalist, says we can’t wait for the next elections, that “there is nothing to wait for” and fear is not an option for believers.

“I said this in D.C. and I’m going to say it here. We are not afraid of the truth. I know this is an audience that is not afraid of the truth. We don’t just need comfort. We don’t need a warm cup of Ovaltine. We need fighters, marching orders, clarity in our mind. We’re going after our own freedom.

“As an evangelist, I stand up for things. I tell people they have got to let the power of Christ set them free from heroine. Let it set them free from crystal meth and a variety of other narcotics that are swamping our country right now. Fear is a drug. It’s a drug that can get into the Christian. It’s a fear that can get into our pulpits. Anyone that speaks false hope or tries to make light of the situation, it shows fear.

“But we’ve got to be soldiers that say, ‘I am not afraid. I’m not afraid to tell the enemy that America will be a free nation, and I’m not waiting. I’m not waiting for a chance so that I can speak in the schools, speak to the mainstream of America and say we’re not going to have this.’ America will not be an atheistic nation shaking its fist at God. We’re not going to have it, and the Lord will not allow it.”
