Spoken Word Artist Janette…ikz Releases New Music About Turning From Sin

Share:

Janette…ikz, known for her spoken word performances, released a new album in December titled Not My Own, and one song is called “All of Me.” A raw, vulnerable piece about turning from sin that leads to death, the song begs the question: Once we meet Jesus, will we surrender everything? The pre-chorus goes:

“What do You see/ When You’re looking at me/ Are You even pleased/ That’s all that matters to me.”

After some powerful vocals, the song brings in what sounds like a preacher exclaiming, “Enough with the people-pleasing!” God frees us from a performance mentality, yet still motivates us to obey Him out of love for Him because of His death on the cross for us.

Listen to the entire song here.
