‘The Whole Reason We’re Here’: Tennessee Students Spark Revival Fire in High School
A piercing ray of sunshine in a darkened world consumed by cancel culture, sexual promiscuity and shallow “speak your own truth” mantras, two high school students are turning their school grounds into holy grounds.
Catherine and Reagan, two upperclassmen at Tennessee high schools, recently shared with Dutch Sheets how the Lord is moving in mighty ways through their encouragement of lukewarm Christians to embrace Holy Spirit fire.
“Being a Christian and truly changing your life to glorify Jesus is the most amazing thing you can do,” Catherine says. “The whole reason we are on this earth is to live for Him and bring others to that understanding. Investing your life for eternity is way more rewarding than spending your life just for yourself.”
Catherine has a soft spot for bringing lackluster believers into the deep—because she used to be one. Only through a vision of thousands of Nashville teens coming together to learn about Him and worshipping together did Catherine realize her mandate to renew revival in her community.
“This is only just the beginning; something special is happening,” Reagan agrees. “We don’t want it to be just a short-lived spark. Our desire is to see this become a sustainable fire for all to experience God’s loving presence and His redeeming sense of hope.”
