This Attitude Threatens to Ruin the Next Generation’s Ministry of Apostles and Prophets

Share:

Some people don’t believe apostles and prophets should operate today, says Revive Israel’s Asher Intrater. But the apostle Paul talks about all God’s people prophesying 14 times in 1 Corinthians 14 alone. Intrater says healthy prophetic ministry is vital in today’s church.

Yet there are a lot of sinful attitudes swirling in prophetic circles. And that may prove to be a downfall.

“Do you see what’s been wrong with our generation of people, when we got the anointing of the Spirit?” Intrater says. “‘I’m anointed! I’ve got power! I’ve got authority!’ And it’s all just a bunch of self-importance [and] pride.”

Sadly, Intrater says, these attitudes are inhibiting many in the church from walking in the fulfillment of Joel 2:28’s prophetic promise—and it may ruin the next generation of apostles and prophets.
