5 Lies the Church Has Accepted in an Anti-Christian Culture
Dr. Rosaria Butterfield exposed the truth about the lackadaisical approach Christianity, and especially ministries, have taken in relation to the LGBTQ agenda. While many today who have since come out of that lifestyle have been told by Christians that this is the thing they will always struggle with or that they will never be able to enter into godly marriages, Butterfield says this is a lie and that complete freedom from LGBTQ practices and attractions can be broken through the power of Jesus.
As someone who came out of the homosexual lifestyle, Butterfield has been able to experience the transformative power of Christ to make her life so much better than what she had planned for herself.
“God has allowed me to be a wife and a mother and a grandmother,” Butterfield said at Liberty University. “A pastor’s wife. And a servant in the church. I count my family and church as God’s greatest earthly blessings to me, and I have come to learn that while homosexuality is part of my biography, it is not part of my nature.”
She then shared the five lies that she believes are spread in today’s anti-Christian culture that we should be on the lookout for as she says they have seeped into the church.
The first lie, Butterfield says, is that homosexuality is normal. Second, she says is that “pagan spirituality is kind and inclusive.” This lie in particular goes right along with the warnings that authors like Jonathan Cahn have warned about as spiritual entities attack our society and bring about idolatry of same-sex attraction and transgenderism.
“The third lie is that feminism is good for the church and the world,” Butterfield said. “The fourth lie is that transgenderism is normal. And the fifth lie is that modesty for women is outdated and dangerous. These lies, which have entered the church and the Christian college have one thing in common: they discourage repentance of sin and they encourage the pride of victimhood.”
Rosaria’s profound points aligns perfectly with Scripture. The power of Christ is much greater and more abundant than we ever could have imagined. If Christ is great enough to conquer the grave, why wouldn’t He be considered great enough to completely overturn the grip of sin on someone’s sexuality?
According to Dr. Rosaria Butterfield, What Christian ministries are heretical liars?

First Corinthians 15:55 says, “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” God’s redemptive power is beyond any earthly sins and struggles we encounter.
The problem with these deceptive lies isn’t that their power is comparable to God’s but rather their appearance to be good and loving.
“And these lies have a subtle appearance because Satan is a liar who specializes in the persuasive lie of the half-truth,” Butterfield said.
Butterfield also shared about these deceptions with Eric Metaxas, including the dangers of what feminism in America is equating to today in light of the transgender movement.
“So much of these lies were driven by feminism,” Butterfield said. “And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, there’s only one place that feminism is alive and well, and it’s in the evangelical church. Because feminism in the world is dead. Transgenderism killed it. And I think this is a really important thing especially for Christian women to realize.”
Just because the world has considered something to be acceptable and right does not automatically mean it is right. Christians cannot fall asleep on the topics coming into the church and how we respond to them. While we desire to be loving and considerate, love is not always easy and sometimes it involves transformation for truth growth to take place. Galatians 5:1 tells us that “For freedom Christ freed us.” Experiencing this true freedom requires setting down all idols and sins at the foot of the cross with humility and repentance. {eoa}
