What good is art if it offers nothing positive or life affirming?

We’ve all watched Hollywood award shows where we wonder how on earth anyone voted to nominate that the best movie of the year. When it comes down to it, we all want movies that uplift and inspire us, and that are fun and safe to watch.

Movieguide® wants to honor and celebrate movies of excellence that offer transformational messages for the world. This why we’re excited to share “Movieguide®’s Transformational Movies,” a TV special airing on the REELZChannel Easter Sunday, April 1, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time and 1 p.m. Pacific Time.

Hosted by Ted Baehr and Evy Baehr-Carroll, this TV special highlights some of Movieguide®’s favorite movies from last year and explains why the messages they entail are transformational for us. Some of the movies discussed may surprise you! It will also feature highlights from the 26th Annual Movieguide® Awards, which was held Feb. 2 in Hollywood and was hosted by actor/comedian Terry Crews.

As Baehr and Baehr-Carroll guide your family through the transformative movies of last year, you’ll also hear from some of the stars and filmmakers behind those movies, like Zachery Levi, Demi Lovato, Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale and many others, who share with the audience why their movies are impactful and important.

The TV special is split into four sections: Movies That Transform Your Family Life, Movies That Transform Your World, Movies That Transform Your Future and, at the end of the program, the Epiphany Prize for the Most Transformational Movie will be handed out.

There’s so much more to discover, learn and enjoy in “Movieguide®’s Transformational Movies.” Please tune in on April 1, at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, only on the REELZChannel.
