Megachurch Pastor, Wife Criticized for Celebrating Son’s Song That Includes Guns, Alcohol and Sex

Parental pride can only go so far, and Elevation Church Lead Pastor Steven Furtick and his wife, Holly, are now on the receiving end of staunch criticism for celebrating their 16-year-old son’s music project that promotes guns, sex and designer clothes, media outlets have reported.

Elijah Furtick recently released a group of songs under a project titled “Teen Machine.” In the music video for one of the songs, “No Hook,” Elijah Furtick made references to oral sex, drinking Hennessey and his “bro” keeping a gun, The Christian Post reported.

On Wednesday, Steven Furtick posted this Facebook message about his son’s project: “You already know how proud I am of you. But today on the release of TEEN MACHINE I want you to know that you inspire me.

How Richard Dawkins Inadvertently Led This Atheist to Christ

In Peter Byrom’s story, famed atheist Richard Dawkins was the evangelist.

Byrom was born and raised in East Sussex, England, to a Christian family. He grew up nominally religious but abandoned the vestiges of his faith when he left home for college.

Duped by the lie that Christianity is incompatible with intellectualism, Byrom dissolved whatever lingering interest he may have had in God and quickly turned to atheism—a transition fast-tracked by a roommate who, like him, was raised to believe in God but had since turned away from his upbringing.

ICEJ Welcomes First Flights of Rescued Ukrainian Jews

Israel is scrambling to rescue thousands of Ukrainian Jews in harm’s way and bring them home to safety in Israel. The first flights bringing these Jewish war refugees to Israel landed on Sunday in what has been dubbed “Operation Israeli Guarantee,” and the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is doing our part to help fund this urgent and historic rescue Aliyah effort.

Last week, hundreds of Israeli citizens living in Ukraine began returning home on daily flights from Eastern Europe to escape the widening Russian invasion. But on Sunday, the first flights bringing Ukrainian Jewish immigrants to safety in Israel landed at Ben-Gurion Airport. The 300 Jewish olim (newcomers) who arrived on Sunday were evacuated from across Ukraine over recent days and then held in temporary housing in Poland, Romania and Moldova until their Aliyah process could begin.

The first Aliyah flight landed mid-day with some 90 Jewish children from a Chabad-run orphanage in the central Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr. The youngsters, aged 2 to 12, had walked through freezing cold and snow to cross the border into Romania several days ago. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was waiting on the tarmac to greet them, having just returned from a surprise weekend meeting in Moscow with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin in a bid to secure safe passage routes for refugees in Ukraine and help mediate an end to the conflict. {eoa}
