Fiery Pentecostal Teacher Has a Word for Anyone Mad at God

Kimberly Jones-Pothier, aka “Real Talk Kim,” wants you to know that you don’t have to stay stuck in your misery and brokenness anymore. It’s time, she says, to “get up and live” in the freedom God has given you.

“Some people are waiting on God to be a genie in a bottle. In fact, you’re mad at God because He didn’t answer that prayer,” Jones-Pothier told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of “Greenelines” on the Charisma Podcast Network. “You have to understand that when one door closes, God said, ‘I’m going to open something bigger.’

“He says in Ephesians 3:20 that He’s going to do exceedingly abundantly more than you can ever ask or think. That means you can’t even pray for what God’s about to do with you. You’ve got to get up. Get up and live. As long as you have a pulse, God’s got a plan, and He’s waiting on you.”

That’s what Jones-Pothier did years ago. Once a clerk at a department-store makeup counter, she now preaches God’s Word to hundreds of thousands around the world through her deliverance ministry and has developed a huge following among people of all ages.

All because she “got up and lived.”

“The best part about it is I get to watch people get free,” Jones-Pothier said. “I get testimonies like crazy from people just saying, after all these years, I finally feel like I can move forward. … It doesn’t matter how old you are. It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through. God says, ‘I need you to take the storms that you created and let the oil that I’m going to produce flow through you because you got up when you wanted to stay down.’ That’s where the power is.”
