Atlanta megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar was arrested on Friday. He is accused of hurting his 15-year-old daughter during an argument at home.

Dollar, senior pastor of World Changers Church in College Park, Ga., has been officially charged with simple battery, family violence and cruelty to children.

Dollar’s 19-year-old daughter, Alexandria, told police the faith preacher, “put both hands around her sister’s neck and choked her for about five seconds.”

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Alexandria Dollar told deputies she saw her father grab her little sister by the shoulders and slap her in the face. She also said her sister tried to break free but was thrown to the ground, at which point Alexandria ran to get her mother, Taffi. Taffi’s presence reportedly put an end to the fight.

Brent Rowan, the sheriff’s office spokesman, told the ACJ the teenager is alleging that the 50-year-old megachurch pastor beat her with his shoe while pinning her to the floor and she sustained “superficial injuries” to her neck.

The incident report states that the 15-year-old was upset because Dollar refused to grant her permission to attend a party on Saturday. Dollar said he was trying to restrain his daughter because she was being disrespectful. Dollar also claims the teen started hitting him, which led the televangelist to wrestle her to the ground. He also reported to deputies that he spanked his daughter’s behind and sent her to her room.

Dollar was released on $5,000 bond from Fayette jail on Friday morning. On his Facebook page Dollar wrote of the incident, “The fight has already been won. We are just walking it out. It’s already been determined that the devil is defeated through the victory Jesus won. Now we must walk in that victory in our own lives.”
