A man crashed his car because he says Jesus told him to let go of the wheel.

When he did, Chad England‘s 2015 Toyota Tacoma truck flipped about five times as he was traveling along an interstate in Tennessee.

England then took “off running, carrying a jar and was speaking ‘gibberish,'” according to a police report.

Police charged England with driving under the influence, felony possession of Schedule II drugs for resale/manufacture/deliver, possession of Schedule VI drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, due care, driving without a license, registration not in possession, violation of the financial responsibility law and open container, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.

“He said that Jesus was calling him and advised him to let go of the wheel, and that’s what he did,” according to the report.. “He stated that he did not take off running, he was ‘being called and was traveling to bow before someone.’ He also stated he was not driving, but he was behind the wheel.”
