Katheryn Boone, kingmaker wife to international evangelist Wellington Boone, died Saturday, March 12, and was “promoted to her new life in heaven,” her husband’s ministry said in a Facebook post announcing her passing.

Katheryn Boone served for more than 48 years as first lady in all her husband’s ministries, including the Fellowship of International Churches—a crosscultural, global network of bishops, pastors, missionaries and Bible-based churches and Bible schools. The Fellowship has established thousands of churches and Bible schools in Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Missouri, Virginia and Wisconsin, among other states, and nations in Africa, Asia and Europe.

She had many spiritual sons and daughters. Through her unique contribution to the work of God, she was able to meet both spiritual and practical needs of the ministry and the people. She had a no-nonsense approach to work, but her beautiful spirit welcomed many into the house of God.

In 2017, Katheryn helped her husband establish a mission base in Germany to “Win Them, Train Them and Send Them” from the New Reformation Embassy. She helped establish a 24-hour prayer network, Biblical Institute for Leadership Development and missions outreaches to immigrants as well as crusades in Germany, Europe and other nations.

In 2019, she helped to establish a new Eternity Training Outreach to churches in South Africa alongside a mission of conflict reconciliation and revival.

Her kingdom work was held in high regard by many. Bishop Glenn Collier shared his condolences on Facebook:

“We thank God for the great blessing Mrs. Katheryn Boone has been to our family,” Dr. James G. Leak said in a Facebook post. “She spoke a timely word to my wife concerning our son Clarion, checked on her and my wife’s mother, and has been a tremendous example of a woman who walked with a man of God in Bishop Wellington Boone. My young daughter Cathryn Grace is a god daughter to the Boones. We will all greatly miss her.” {eoa}
