Thirty-four people were killed in a bus crash on the way to church earlier this month.

Franklin Graham, founder of Samaritan’s Purse, says eight of the deceased were volunteers for his organization, and 12 were children who recently graduated from The Greatest Journey child Bible study program.

“There are reports of entire families being lost in the carnage,” Graham posted to his Facebook page. “I’m thankful they knew the Savior and are now in His presence. Would you join us in praying for those who are grieving their loved ones and for the many injured?”

According to Africa News, the bus was traveling up a hill when it fell down into a ravine.

“It is unimaginable what happened because the car was in good condition, the papers of the vehicle were in order. My wife and my children were among the passengers. The whole family is dead,” Elias Ralaiarimanana, a bus driver, says.
